Toru Nishiyama

• Born September 8, 1960, in Hokkaido. During middle school, he studied judo and entered the Kyokushin Karate Hokkaido Iwamizawa Branch at the age of 15. After moving to Tokyo, he joined the Ashihara Karate Headquarters at the age of 22 and became a staff member at the age of 25. He served the late Ashihara Eiko for 10 years and the current director, Ashihara Hidenori, for more than 10 years. As the oldest instructor of the Ashihara Karate Association, he has dedicated himself to the inheritance and development of Ashihara Karate. Eastern Japan General Manager of the Ashihara Karate Association.
